Winter Wonder Land!

 If you are looking for a winter wonderland this holiday season, look no further than Winter Lodge. Not only do they have furnished cabins and homes with magnificent views, but they also have a wide variety of fun activities to do while you are there. 

I started at the Mountain Lodge venue, where the talented and personable John Rocky was performing. (More about that later!) From the lodge I caught the ski lift, riding to the summit where awe inspiring vistas met me. 

This mountainous region will delight your eyes with the carefully planned nooks and crannies where you will find hidden gems, such as warm inviting cabins, carefully placed trees, and waterfalls. If I hadn't known better, I would swear I was really on a snow covered mountain!

I ventured back down to the Mountain Lodge venue, where I hopped on the hot-air balloon ride. There are two choices, a short eight minute tour, or a luxurious twenty minute tour. Either one will leave you breathless.

Along with the hot-air balloon ride, you will find date-worthy activities such as ice skating, skiing, and a church!

If attending live music performances by some of Second Life's most talented musicians is your cup of tea, make sure you check the planned shows on the events calendar. The day I was there, John Rocky performed a melodious set of unplugged and acoustic versions of songs from the past 30 years. His voice was near pitch perfect, and his delivery was spot on with subtleties of tone and emotion only found from the most talented singers. His musicality extended to his masterful guitar work.

I challenge you to find a more beautiful region to spend your holidays. When you go, I also challenge you to find the polar bear! But be careful, he looks ferocious!
